UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: UPLAC Bi-monthly meeting Date 23.02.2022, Kulla Union's newly elected Chairman Mr. Alhaj Lutfar Rahman Kulla Union, under Dhamrai Upazila said He was sworn in as chairman of the union council in January 2022, He had no idea about the benefits of Legal Aid Services. How does the District Legal Aid Office help the people? How does the District Legal Aid Office provide free cases to the poor people? He attended the first meeting of the Union Legal Aid committee meeting today and at the end of the meeting he will take the awareness work of Legal Aid further. He urged the other members of the Legal Aid committee members who were present at the meeting to be aware of the fact that those of you who want to be here will be able to provide legal information to the people.

Courtyard meeting: Courtyard meeting Date 22.02.2022, Ms. Salina Begum, Rahmatganj, Zinjira Union under Keraniganj Upazila said most of the people in our area work in mill/factory’s, workshops and garments. They started arguing over minor issues and later went to the local police station to file a case and they are being harassed more and more by the police. If they know about Legal Aid they will get legal advice from the District Legal Aid Office and those of us who have been here this courtyard meeting will tell our families and relatives.

UZLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: UZLAC Bi-monthly meeting Date 23.02.2022, Savar Upazila Chairman Mr. Md. Manjurul Alam Rajib said we are now holding regular monthly meetings in the upazila parishad with the members of the Legal Aid Committee. This is definitely a good thing and besides we are getting information about all the clients from Savar Upazila and different Unions who have District Legal Aid Offices. Upazila Information Office and there are many clients who could get any of them to get legal services. We could send them to the District Legal Aid Office, Dhaka to provide better Legal Aid services. How many cases have gone from Savar Information Office to District Legal Aid Office? Client related issues give me information every month.
